what kind of engineering are you interested in? i know that civil engineering jobs are the hardest to find overall. i know a lot of my friends from school who did civil ended up doing management/IT consulting or banking. only one ended up doing project management for a construction company. chemical engineering pays better, but i am not too sure about job prospects in the US. quite a few mechanical folks end up in product design companies, but again i don't know how easy it is. i think the easiest jobs (relatively speaking) are for electrical engineers. there should be quite a few opportunities in 1) ASIC/VLSI design 2) DSP/signal processing/communications 3) software engineering (systems level programming as well as applications development) check out monster.com, dice.com and hotjobs.com. I've personally never used them, but I've heard of ppl getting jobs thru these agencies. good luck.
