Humans feel lonely even in their families, communities, and motherland; how could you expect better with the chances of meeting aliens? I am not a pessimist but when its so hard to conjure love and brotherhood amongst a small group of individuals, how can we think the world will be a better place because of expensive space explorations? The advancement of science has given satisfaction to many but there are lot more who have been suffering harder. We should better learn to live harmoniously with what we have rather then fantacizing with the progress of few enthusiasts. I don't think mankind has got the return for the enormous amount of money and man-power that has been spent for space explorations. Better spend it for education, poverty reduction and scientific research on medicine and betterment of human life. When there is some sort of equality between all human beings, these explorations will be helpful otherwise simply fruitless.
