Kaam kuro eka tira kumbhlo boki thimi tira. What rectification? Any month can be chosen as the new year, and Baishakh can be the new year as long as it is required to have the new year. All other adjustments are just mathematical and can be done independent of Baishakh, with the adjustents, if necessary, being carried into Baishakh. These folks want to fool the people and confuse them unnecessarily. Whoever came with this brilliant idea of moving the new year due to rectification should be made to take a bath in a dadhoo of hot water first, or in English, hung by their balls. I'm not gonna change my kundali. --- As a note in India the first month is Chaitra, though. I disregard this fact though, because the new year is just symbolic of the fact that you have gone round the sun almost a full circle, and that this circle is taken as a measure of a year.
