CIAA report demands more punishment to those involved in ministerial posts Khum Bahadur Khadka (File Photo) The 13th annual report of the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA), the antigraft body, has revealed that 27 persons holding public posts had amassed illegal property and cases have been filed against them at the Appellate Court and the Special Court, the state run news agency- RSS- said. The report states that cases have been filed against 64 additional persons in order to confiscate the property, as the 27 accused had their property in the names of their wives, sons and daughters as well as relatives. Chiranjivi Wagle (File Photo) According to the report, three former ministers Chiranjivi Wagle, Khum Bahadur Khadka and Jayaprakash Prasad Gupta have been accused of corruption of the largest amount. Jayaprakash Prasad Gupta (File Photo) Former minister Wagle was accused of illegally earning Rs 32,955, 071, Khadka Rs 23,687,634 and Gupta Rs 20,808,046. The CIAA has also demanded further punishment to them as they were in ministerial posts.
