Highfly, Marxism did not fail. Those who attempted to put into practice failed. China is not a failed state. It is prospering. It is prospering with a touch of capitalism in it. America prosepered because of the socialist idea juxtaposed with capitalism after the great Depression. Government control is necessary. Free market does not rule itself. So, it should be evident to you that idelogies morph and modify with change in time and scenario. I would certainly not argue that pure Marxism will survive. But a modified version has chances. Look at our Communist Party. They prefer democracy. That's called change or modification. It should be kept in mind that emotional appeals and "ti dukha ka din haru" like stories remain outside the arena of policy making and ideology application. Kathmandu is not Nepal. Go to Karnali. You will see what life is like there. No water, no roads, no communications. those of you guys who grew up using internet and going to private schools won't ever understand the pain of being in paddy field on a hot summer day. Instead of school, they talk about sukul. instead of capital, they talk about tama and pittal. Instead of democracy, they talk about "dumber kc' who promises to feed them.
