I was a valedictorian until the 8th grade and top ten rankers by the 10th. On my 11th grade I scored 6 in chemistry, 13 in physics and 9 in maths and 24 in computers (out of a full 100)..and my dream of becoming a rockect scientist collapsed then and there. I hit the guiness records at my school, my home ( all docs, phds..and army/politicians) and my neighborhood.
My dad, Adolf Hitler, said, "I had packed your bag with lots of love and pampering and I am delighted with the presents you brought back." Then he added, "This time I have 3 mantras for you:persistence and preserverance and perspiration, and lady you are on your own."
'
At that moment, I only chose to hear the last phrase of the sentence -"Lady you are on your own."--freedom for a free spiriited girl like me meant the world then..with that in mind I started mapping up a nice life for myself..at 17 i started to live ala Zeenat Aman..from hare ram hare krishna....
Freedom was incomprehesively troublesome....I guessed i asked for too much to handle.
Then bit by bit i preservered my freedom with the responsibility to take care of myself..it was better than going back to the Nazzi Bootcamp..
Persistence has lead me to where I am, in my own world my kingdom, where nobody judges me, dictates me, dilludes me to do things the wrong way or lets me down..I still haven't built my empire yet But I am aspiring and perspiring to do so in time....
So the three mantras have been my mojo for life....
I shared my story not to say that i adore my communist thinking...but whining, pining and dining won't do ya no good if you want to lead a democratic life..and that goes to all Nepalese who want freedom..from the so called Nazis....Rule or be ruled..as simple as that..
Thank you for sharing..my coffee thoughts.
