I didn't support King's move because I think of the King so highly or I see him as Lord Vishnu's Incarnation. I supported King's move because 1. I really didn't have any other choice 2. The other options were worse. Who would I support? The Maoists? who are on such a blind rampage that they have lost the focus of their operation, "People's Government for the People." The other end, the multiparty democracy was so inept, we were better off without them. But now, my only hope is shaking. Not because of my biggest fear coming true, the King putting the face of Kaddafi, Hussein or Castro; but King's plan, or lack thereof, seeming very weak. Nepal is an independent nation, with dependencies to every single powerful countries. I cannot see us winning this civil war without external help and bigger problem is that the King is not doing anything about it. King has to let go of his ego and take on more diplomatic face; Countries will support him..didn't they support Mushorrof? Instead of working towards gaining respect and support of the citizens, the administration is working hard to make the matter worse by violating every possible human rights. The much publicized arrests of journalists, leaders and massacre of civilians will only create a turmoil in already chaotic situation. I would hope that my leader would've come up with a better plan than this. From a person who has taken such a drastic step, more preparation should've been warranted. Hopefully the king will take some positive actions in days to come. Still hopeful.
