Good work Bharsta Neeta. I really admire your foresightedness or is it hind-sightedness now that you are recounting the events that had already occured? Whatever, I really think men like you could make a difference in the political equation in Nepal. As for Gagan Thapa, it does not matter if he was a brilliant student in his school days, if he was a scholarship candidate in Pulchowk Engineering College (for those who might have forgotten, Pulchowk Engg. is still the best engg. institute in Nepal and one of the best in S. Asia and World) or if he has a higher degree than most of us discussing and tainting his appeal here. He is a student political leader and that makes him bad...and he is working under the mentorship of some Bharsta Neta... and that makes him an assh***. [ College and universities do not need any politicians like so called student leader Gagan Thapa in the premises of college and universities...] I agree 100%, but was it Gagan's fault if there was already political parties and politicians in his college?? Politics is a bad game, only because the players do not adhere to the rules. And there was lots of craps against Gagan in the other post when his first appeal was posted in sajha... and examples by different people, with the names of Chiring and Rathor splashed around with their misdeeds (the Botanical Trip and Nan Pasal Kanda), and that made Gagan bad. Guys, I don't know if you have ever heard an issue where Gagan was directly involved. I agree we should not blame the person who fires the bullet, and we should also take into account other factors, but realistically what could Gagan have done in those cases? And then there are niceties of Gagan that people have ignored, like he was beaten really badly on his way back home by some really NICE people (if someone beats Gagan, they must be nice, right folks??) when he stopped them from eve-teasing (oh common...eve teasing is not that bad..ask the eves) in his college...that's TC, my friends. Oh yes, and before I forget, about the Germans..."But in the end it was used for fullfilling Hitler's ambitions which the rest of the world hated." Of course, they were killing the Jews much the same way the Maoists are killing corrupted Netas and innocent Nepalese or The Royal Nepalese Army is killing the declared terrorists and of course innocent janta. Now when the world hated Hitler's movement, why we Nepalese are supporting Maoist or King?? Because we want stability... does not matter if the body count has already reached 5 digits and it does not matter if it will someday reach 6 digits... King Gyanendra is willing to rule the country with 50,000 heads.. I guess that will be his loyal Nepalese army with 20,000 casualties... I try to stay apolitical, but in the end, I believe we cannot be so...because what's happening in our country force us to take a side.... I liked King Gyanendra's movement.. Nepal needs a control, but I never hated democracy. And our democracy was still in infant... Frankly I was hoping our political system to get better with the likes of well educated people taking over and pushing off people who never went to high school... And of course I am about to be flabbergasted... but in the end, I know all of us want to have a better country, a country with few leaders and not just politicians...and King Gyanendra is willing to lead and take the responsibilities...and on the other hand Gagan is willing to lead the youths... It's upon us to choose a side, as I said, we just cannot remain aloof.
