No international mediation because it will legalize the rebellion. The rebels are harping for international mediation because they would acquire some legitimacy out of the international mediation. Who is going to mediate for us (poor Nepalis)? Why would they mediate for us? How would they mediate for us? Who would listen to international voice if the tables are turned against them (barking royalists or grunting Maoists). It is easy to say international mediation for talks and peace, but it is the domestic consensus that counts more than those bullshit foreign negotiators.
