Some corrections: 1. Prachanda remained underground even after success of people's movement. His demand was stright forward: election for constituent assembly that would decide the political furtune of 23 million nepalese people. 2. In order to understand why Baburam went underground even after his party got 9 out of 205, you need to understand communist movement and the factionalism within his party. As CPN UML becoming streamling political parties to represent leftist agendas (I hate to say that UML did so), the existence of CPN Mashal is in jeorpady and in order to sustain the existence of their party, it is necessary that they should come up with revolutionary political agenda. 3. Why these leaders are underground and pursing a conflict? The answer is pretty much obvious. Leadership benefit. No doubt these Maoist leaders have hard time, but the benefit of being leader is much more than that cost. They can enjoy power, money and can dream running a country if they become success. 4. Now the question is whether the innocent people do understand the incentives the Maosit leaders are trying to secure for themselves. If they know, then why they are supporting them? We need to diagnosis this problem from social, economical and political aspects.
