India's stance on suspending military aid to Nepal could partially be attributed to China's potential foreign policies. If we see a larger picture, India's Naxalite movement was started on the initiative and inspiration of Peking's foreign policy in the Indian subcontinent during the 1960s-- the weakening negotiation on Sino-Indian border and India's alignment with the US and USSR led China to aggressively support Pakistan and later to ignite socio-cultural uprisings (later to emerge as maoist movement) within India that will keep the country divided and more supportive of Chinese communism. If we see things under similar light, how countries act internationally has little to do with Nepal's betterment, or even individual country's policies. US, China, and India- their interests and subsequentn moves to attain those intersets will determine Nepal's future. I would like to know what IF has to say on this, since he seems to be well read about China's policies.
