Hamro tol ma euta saathi thyo mero ?Singhe. ( saathi nai ta hoina tara bhani ram na ahile lai) Singhe was not his real name but why was he singhe is not so important here, so let?s skip that part. Singhe was a few years older than me ani ma skool jada singhe dhobikhola ko faantma ki ta paya bhali ra hunthyo ji kisnamandir pachhadi taas kheldai hunthyo---nabhaye ki kasailai chut.tai hunthyo ki kasaile uslai didai hunthyo danak--- Singhe would enter a bhatti when I was ready to do some homeworks in the evening. Afu sutne belama tol nai singhele sadak bata larbariyeko awazma gayeko hindi/nepali geet le gunjayaman hunthyo---he was very liberal in using manpari words also?so if he forgot the lyrics, he would compensate the missing words with some heavy weight manpari words. Kahile kahi ta Singhe gauda gaudai arkai tol ko tyo dada lai sarapthyo hamro tolma jatha bhabi bhandai. Atti bhako bela ma chai ani eutale jhyal bata tauko nikalera ?ye singhe, ma aaunu paryo taala?? bhanesi kasle bhanya ho tyo herera singhe le usko words wa actions ko chhanaut garthyo response ma. Singhe had only one purpose in life those days. Fight garnu. Everyday, he was involved in fighting with some one. He belonged to fairly a steady gang of our tole as a junior member. ?kasaile kehi garyo bhane malai bhan bujhis Deep?, Singhe bhanne garthyo. Singheko kurale ma pani nikkai josinthe. One day, I was hanging out at JayNepal cinema hall (hall bahira ni feri bhitra haina---tyai bhitra jane dauma ni---) with a couple of my school friends. We all were hari tannam?paisa na saisa tiki tyas tyas---cinema hall nagai nahune tara. Singhe came there. That was a great time for me to see if he measures up to his words. So, I approached him with my friends and say, ?Singhe, hami ni heram na cinema..? Singhe looked at us and threw a small line of annoyed smile then said, ?pakh ek chin?. We followed him everywhere he went. He did not seem too happy about our following him--- then finally he said ?come with me?. He took us to the first class/special gate and delivered a violent kick to the door and ordered ?ye, dhoka khol?. Some one opened the door from inside. Viko bajradantiko bigyapan aaudai rahechha. Singhe ordered us, ?get in?. We got in but he did not come inside. Ma ta aba ti mera aru vikhari sathiharuko agadi ke ke na bhaigaye. They were really pleased. So, I decided to cash in the influence that was prevailing over them right there. I almost whispered to them ?next time timiharulai yaha cinema herna paryo bhane malai bhannu---maile ta yaha paisa tirera cinema herya khai kahileho last time thah chhaina??. They did not say a word as they were busy watching the screen but I guess they heard me. We were looking for some seats to settle down. Just then, a light flashed in our eyes then the light guy asked for ticket. We did not have any ticket. I told him, ?hamlai ta singhe le chhirako?. ?Ko singhe?? The light guy roared. Ko singhe rey? I was puzzled. Within 10 seconds, we were on the dusty floor in front of special/first class gate busy getting up to get the hell out of there before a lot of people could enjoy a free tamasha. Hattisar napuge samma we all were silent. What was there to talk about anyway? One of my vikhari friends then looked dead in my eyes and asked, ?next time yaha jainepal ma cineme herna paryo bhane kallai bhanni rey mu**..?
