This was when HE came to her life. All this time when she had been wishing for a miracle it did not happen. And now when she was shattered and broken HE was finally there. She had needed a friend to soothe her hurt and HE had come as an answer. Listening to her, talking to her.. making her feel special and wanted. But HE WAS a guy and she didn?t know if HE would be the same. She had trusted, she had loved and she had failed. She had tried to fly but her wings had been broken on the voyage and now HE was here telling her to fly again.. Could she ever fly? He bandaged her wounds and held her hand, but the scar still showed and hurt. Every now and then when she looked at HIM she saw a part of the man who had shattered her.. The man who had turned her smile to a frown. The guy who had given her thorns when she had asked for a simple flower? Could she trust again? Maybe she could later.. maybe she could never.. she did not know. Was it fate that when the god did smile at her, she did not want to be smiled at? She could see HIS smile, HIS kindness, HIS affection.. but hadn?t she seen it before somewhere.. and hadn?t her soothing breeze turned into a tornado? Hadn?t the sparks turned to a self consuming fire? She wanted to dream again.. to feel again.. to be special again, but could she? Today she sits and thinks.. Her heart wants her to forget everything. It wants her to love.. to live.. to take joy in the happiness HE wants to give her. But the mind says ?no?. The battle of the heart and mind goes on and she is afraid to let her heart win. Heart always brings one pain, and she can?t bear the pain again. All she fears now is that in the battle of her heart and mind she will lose HIM. HE who might be the answer to her prayers or the cause of her doom.
