The funny thing I see is that many people feel that simply a capture of Baburam and Prachanda will halt the Maoist movement. What I have read from the journals of journalists interviewing average Maoist fighters, their local commanders and the regional commanders is that these Maoists who are doing the actual fighting on the ground doesnt seem to care much about Prachanda and Baburam. They have been openly dismissing directives from Prachanda and Baburam a very long time ago. At this point I strongly believe the Maoist is controlled much from local and regional level. Well, they have replaced thier dead or captured leaders at various levels so many times over the years of fighting. Isnt it very probable they will replace Baburam and Prachanda with someone else if they were ever captured and keep on fighting ?
