Racist Tsunami song

There was this supposedly Asian Hip-Hop artist who sang to protect the Tsunami-song lady. The first lines were, "Since when Hip-Hop became racist," So the Daily news reports. Since when songs were barred from racism title, that's my question to him, he who doesn't represent the Asian minority but calls himself Asian. As far as the reason is concerned two points I want to make: 1. Hip hop attitude defines harshness as being cool (Hip). If u make fun of something that others take seriously, then it's hip. 2. Groupism is a built in tendency. Some tune it up a notch and others supress it for everybody's sake. Hope nobody benefits from this controversy, they say no publicity is bad publicity.
