I don't think Saroj means "the meaning of friendship" here but those friends who take friendship for granted. Hoina ta Saroj ? How about those who are always miserable about everything under the sun! I had a friend, a good person but who constantly thought that the whole world was out to get her. A definite pessimist. She did have the ability to rain on anyone's picnic.
