I like Rafi's version of this song... nobody could have sung better than him... not even Lata Mangeshkar, coz her version really sucks compared to Rafi's... Hmmm... I just read an interview of Lata Mangeshkar couple of months ago... and according to her, sometime musicians made her dub the songs already sung by male playback singers because director of the movie wanted a female version of the same song. And when it came to dub Rafi's song, she would always make her musicians lower the scale of the song. One such song was from the movie "Junglee". The song was "Ehsaan Tera Hoga Mujhpar"... which was already sung by Rafi. Shankar-Jaikishan was the musician of the movie, and they wanted Lata to sing the female version few weeks before the movie was released. They insisted Lata to sing the song on the same scale as Rafi sang it. According to Lata, it was pain in the neck matching the notes hit by Rafi and by the time they completed the recording, her whole face and ears were red. hehe...
