

Temple, Tx (FOX 44) – Three citizens of Nepal have been arrested in Temple in connection with illegal gambling devices, with two also named in immigration holds.
The story begins on June 20 around 5:00 p.m. officers with the Temple Police Department notified the Fire Marshall’s Office about a complaint they had received about illegal gambling devices at a location in the 2500 block of South 5th Street, at the Family Foods store and gas station. In Bell County, responsibility for dealing with gaming machines falls to the fire marshals. The Fire Marshal responded and located the machines and noted they had been tampered with. Through his investigation, it was determined that the machines were in violation. A warrant was then obtained for three individuals accused of being involved.
Tuesday, July 1, officers with the Temple Police Department conducted a warrant service at that location for possession of gambling device, equipment or paraphernalia,
Arrested were 45-year-old Dil Bahadur Budha who was charged with keeping a gambling place, along with 42-year-old Bheshraj Gautam and 36-year-old Bikash Hamal, all Nepalese citizens. Gautum and Hamal were also named in the immigration holds.
All three remained in the Bell County Jail Wednesday.
