Why do people relate abolishing monarchy to progress? They are not the same thing. Most of the progress was made in Nepal during Panchayat kal. Abolishing monarchy has been the opposite of progress in Nepal. There is no clear vision nor the path forward. Citizens do not have any civic sense. Most of the able bodies are sent for foreign employment. Nepal is the lowest IQ country in the world because of that. What do you expect when all you have left is old, disabled, kids or the people who can’t become anything in life.

King might not be the perfect solution, but it is tried and tested method. It will be much better than it is right now.
