Elections are all about agendas. People vote for the one whoever they think will be beneficial for them, so there is nothing wrong to support that. However, the problem with Trump is he is running based on the immgration and immigrants being the worst ever thing that happend to this country. People really do not care about legal or illegal migrant at this point. The sentiment is moving towards white nationalism and Trump is fanning the flames as well. Trump is very likely to win the election this time, and it might be very difficult the immigrant community whether it is legal or illegal.
