Yes, wherever I go conversation always revolve around parents, and that topic is their struggle in finding a bride for their son.

I thought the caste system or dowry tradition may be factors, but after listening their conversations, I came to know there is one more another factor; if a bachelor still lives with their parents and doesn't have that much freedom, it could deter potential brides who are looking for a partner with whom they can build their own life
and make decision together.

If they have promised a bride saying their son is moving out after they got married, that will be a big lie. After knowing a housing market, there is no way Jose, no one willing to spend a dime time like this.

So brides can end up staying with in-laws for another 10-15 years. Ouch!!

No career woman would agree on any decision unless and until guy has or both of them agree to live in a separate house, condo, apartment to live. Having a own space and privacy is a must.

Living with in-laws can sometimes means they want to share more about their religion and culture with you. And if you are not interested, you get annoyed and frustrated. Same thing happen to me, and I roll my eyes, because I feel like their pushing their beliefs onto me too much.
Your leisure time on weekends might not be as enjoyable because your in-laws always want to join in.
They always want to visit temples in weekend, and engage in activities you find boring.

And before you know it, Monday morning rolls around, and routine begins again.
