Today's Chatpat: September 13th, 2023
1. Apple plans to hike prices for its iPhone 15 in China and India while cutting prices in the UK. I guess it now wants to make more money from the Chindians rather than the Brits or its domestic customers in the United States.
2. Harry Maguire, the defender who has lost his place in the first team for Manchester United once again becomes a the talking point for Englan fans as he scores an own goal against Scotland. Don't be surprised if the bookmakers come up with a slip on when Maguire will lose his place in the national team as well.
3. Putin is thanking Elon Musk. Putin is toasting Kim from North Korea. Putin still supports his friend Donald Trump when it comes to American politics. Putin is not going to rest until he either wins or destroys half of Europe not with bombs but with a little less oil, gas and grains. The economic sanctions have affected Russia immensely but Putin is all-in when it comes to the conflict with Ukraine.
4. The US FDA now says Sudafed and Benadryl will not help your cold and it might better to have some chicken soup or hot water wit turmeric and honey or any black magic potions or even sauna to relieve your congestion. Don't be surprised if someone files a lawsuit against the companies manufacturing these decongestant stuff and wouldn't be surprised if the US courts then ask the companies to fork out billions of dollars to all those Sudafed and Benadryl fans.
5. You know your government is not serious about public health when it just wants to shut down illegal hospitals in the country taking out kidneys of patients going in for other minor surgeries. Yes, this is happening in Nepal but as usual, bringing in an extra tola of Gold is a more serious offence than playing with peoples' lives.
