1. Nepal lost its second match in the Asia Cup and is now out of the tournament after its defeat to India. It has been a good learning experience for the Nepalese cricket team although half the country is not happy that a rape-accused Sandeep Lamichhane is still allowed to play for the men's team while his case is still pending.

2. PM Prachanda is visiting US and China from the second week of September. He will first arrive in New York for the UN summit and leave for China. Those in New York, please do catch a visit and ask questions to the man from Noida who has now turned into a Hindu-warrior. Reminder: His party were busy destroying temples and killing teachers and priests during the so-called civil war from 1996 to 2006.

3. In global news, the Pope says religion and culture are being used to opress the people. Wood Allen has a new movie out and as usual, he receives ovation as well as protests wherever he goes due to the relationnship with his step daughter. Putin is planning to meet Little Kim soon, probably this month to discuss world domination or something else.

4. Teej is coming soon. Kathmandu's party palaces are fully booked for some wild dances and wine tasting.
