Mobile phones from abroad have to be registered in the MDMS system introduced by Nepal Telecommunication Authority.
Hence, if you have bought a phone for use in Nepal, keep the receipt. You need to present it for registering it in Nepal. Otherwise, the handheld set will not be able to operate in Nepal.
