If you are viewing some terrestrial objects, you do it as if you are viewing stars; just be careful not to point anywhere near the sun without knowing how to do so without damage to your eyes. There is a way to use it during the day time to view the sun; you either use filters or project the image to some black paper. Direct viewing of the sun through a telescope is very dangerous and most likely results in damage of the eyes.)
