Has anyone adjusted from only asylum pending(without TPS) to H1B? The problem is you can't adjust status to H1B in the US and you cant goto Nepal because of pending asylum.

Has anyone tried this? I have an approved H1B petition with my employer but lawyer says to go back for interview(which I don't want) Asylum is pending for more than 6 years now :(
