I think, English is not required .. English might help but, what matters is
1) what is inside the head..
2) Team (it's a team work for sure - social media, management, training, scheduling and everything)
3) A little bit of insider-information (government support and likes)

These contests are not only about personal achievement - they are national prides, international relationship, commercial viability, and a lot of other things... Nepali contestants don't have that exposure -- घोकन्ते बिद्याले टप गर्न सक्दैन..
