Pade Queen No 1, Buddha is not a Nepali ? He is an Indian? The answers to these questions have been very subjective. Worldwide, Indian literatures, history has been widely publicised and available .Because of that, their claim that Budhha is an Indian has been almost established as a fact (Still widely disputed). But using your own method of determining who is Buddha, he is not an Indian either (based on your argument that he was not born in Nepal those days). Well, he wasn't born in India those days either. There was no country called India back then just as there was no country called Nepal some 2500 years ago. Now which system do you want to apply; current national border or whatever the country was called then ? We all learned in our school as kids that Buddha was a Nepali just as much the Indians learned Buddha as one of them. It's upto you who you want to lean towards. But it will be an irony to fight or do hinsaa over the ownership of Buddha.
