New peer reviewed covid bulletin from WHO showing reduced impact

  • World Health Organization published peer reviewed bulletin showing the infection fatality rates tended to be much lower than estimates made earlier in the pandemic. From earlier infection fatality rate of 3.4%, it has been reduced to almost 0.9%.

For people under 70, the infection fatality rate is now shown to be 0.05% which is 5 death out of 10,000 infected.
