If I were you, I would not get too emotionally involved in this news-fodder called "Elections 2020".
In the US, I have met neither any Nepalese person who is homeless nor one who makes 400k per year. Based on the state or place of your domicile, you will still owe about the same ballpark tax. Even though, we might be able to drastically reduce racism, prejudice and stereotyping might be here to stay. On an individual level, most of us will probably be doing the same kind of job two years from now as we are doing now.
No true change will materialize unless 330 million people improve their societal values and their ways of doing things as a whole rather than changing the occupants in the White House or the Capitol. This is especially more true for the Nepalese society.
