Viv, Thanks for the info. I used to wonder how these several Nepali orgnizations here in USA/North America define guys like me who is neither a long term employee or student, but, just a short term visitor (officially). Naresh Koirala from Canada writes in his NRN report as follows: Did the Conference Achieve its Objectives? The discourse during the conference clearly defined the words "NRN" (people of Nepali origin who hold Nepali passports and have lived outside SAARC countries for more than 183 days in a year) and PNO's (People of Nepali Origin who hold foreign passports) and brought to light many of the issues that NRNs and PNOs face in their relationship with Nepal. It also identified the legal impediments, which discourage NRNs in investing their wealth and skills in Nepal." It looks I am eligible to call a NRN. If I am eligible: then I am more confused to find the association that fits me and my pocket / size of purse. My purse is not thick enough to get membership in all Nepalis societies like listed in ANMAUSA.org. So, can anyone out here tell me which would best fit me, a poor guy living in WV? Pessimistic peoples should not answer this question. Write your experience that can be helpful to me? GP
