Sim?n,
Its good to read the reply from you. I am not sure whether you are
a real person in ANA's board or not. You have not identified your
self to contact you. Your posting looks like you are a responsible
person in ANA. Without giving real address to contact you, should
I go to ANA's home page and hit randomly anyone? and refer to
Sajha.com? I don't think that will work. So, would you kindly
identify your position in ANA if your posting is genuine.
If you don't want to identify here in Sajha.com, well, you may
send your contact address (email) to me at eNepal atMark gmail.com
Now, I did try a few times to register via ANA's membership and it was
so disappointing that when I wrote all information and finally, clicked
submit, everything gone dead. So, funny. When I visited DC this
November in another forum's some get together, I met several
peoples who are staying here in USA, and their frustation was that
we simply have too many Nepali organizations and their frustration
is that they have to attend so many get together to mean the same
festival e.g. dashain tihar ... and pay membership fees to each of them and
most importantly, the peoples I met complained that all these mushroomed
societies could be working within an umbrella like ANA, but, the reason
they can stand under one umbrella is because the peoples in top positions
have created such a strong firewall that no one outside the current's
officer's closed cirlce can penetrate or occupy or even serve their genuinely.
I know someone who is one of the best ameature singer, when asked why
don't you sing a song when some of those who sang were not that better compared
you? Her answer was she tried a couple of times well in advance for few
years, all the time she was declined that there are no slots for peoples outside
the cirlce of peoples in exe.com. I hear the same thing happens with ANA
and thats why these nuclear societies don't want to be integrated under the
umbrella of ANA making ANA a pride of Nepalis in America.
I might be wrong. But, the website of ANA does not seems to be convincing
nor promising. It does not have any newsletter or any periodical stuffs to get
connected to ANA's members? Newsletter is a great things to remain the
ANA in close contact with its members? I am wondering whether ANA's exe.com
borads are really unware of this mechanism or they are scared of increasing
publicity such that many hard working and capable peoples compared to the current
officers might want to serve there and the close control by current officers
is lost forever? Why don't you have good Website, when all most all major
orgnizations in USA have their website? especially Dispora of different countries.
Website stuffs are already older than a decade? It looks ANA officers don't know
the power of Website? I don't think thats true, I pessimistically assume that its
to avoid peoples get interested in ANA's top positions? I am a new comer, neither
I have interest nor in near future. But, friends who have been staying here for
long time say that ANA means only in July 4 event.
I want to see ANA make its website more promising and keep in touch with Nepalis
in USA, then, I can have more confidence on what you said above or its officer
bearers will write in public to save their faces. Otherwise, I will be pessimistic
and I will vouch for overhaul of ANA to make it more widely accepted umbrella
society of Nepalis in USA or north America....
