I agree with gorkhali about the expression. That may or may NOT correlate to once faith. But when we are on the subject, you asked few other questions. Bottom line is you wanted to know if we remember GOd all the time or just when we need the Divine being. Well, no matter what, is it necessary to remember the God all the time? Do I have to thank him for all the happiness before going to bed? Well, I think not. My Go(o)d ness is within me and I won't do anything to jeopardize my morale, I guess that is enough for me. I can't imagine of God who needs constant praisals and rememberances.
