Coldplay To Play Gig In The Himalayas by Lowri Williams on 12/3/2004 Coldplay are taking music to new heights as they play a gig halfway up a mountain in the Himalayas. Female first reports that the band have confirmed they will headline a concert at Nepal's Kathmandu National Stadium for free. The stadium resides in the shadow of Mount Everest and is 1,372m above sea level. The band aims to raise money for a local children?s charity. Guitarist Jonny Buckland said: "We're very excited by it. You don't get to play a place like this every day." Damn right you don?t!
