ALTEREGO... HAVING AN INTERNET BRAIN

The internet has enabled humans to have internet wired brains. We no longer store information in our heads. Most of our memories are stored in recoverable mediums. But then, the retrieval of this information has to be done through actual googling. Not only is this annoying and stressful, but it also isn’t ideal for certain situations like walking while looking into a smart phone.

What is AlterEdo?

to the MIT media labs, AlterEgo is a non-invasive, wearable, peripheral neural interface that allows humans to converse in natural language with machines, artificial intelligence assistants, services, and other people without any voice—without opening their mouth, and without externally observable movements—simply by articulating words internally. The feedback to the user is given through audio, via bone conduction, without disrupting the user’s usual auditory perception, and making the interface user.

Neural Network
Basically, the device listens to your neuromuscular movements and interprets that into sensible speech. Execution can then occur if a command was given. AlterEgo is a two-way device. It receives speech via neuromuscular movements and sends output to the user through bone conduction.

AlterEgo’s core technology provides a way humans can navigate the world with enhanced intelligence and perception. It’s like giving humans direct access to the internet without sacrificing environmental participation. A user of this technology can actively participate in real life activities and also have access to the internet.
