ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL?

Okay now, don't be feeling sorry for us because we know we are a better team and we will prove that in the Sugar Bowl. Just imagine this what-if scenario; USC and OK play a sluggish National Championship and Auburn whips VT? Can you not see another sequel for a Split-National Championship? We did not exactly beat Volunteers (#15 unlike mighty little 6's North Champ Buffs?lol) as we expected. Our defense sucked for 2 plays when we needed them most. But that is beside the point. Volunteers sure did make Tigers run for its money. It shows how lots of people including me, underestimated Tennessee's momentum plays, in which they are number one in college football. Anyways, it was pretty obvious that Auburn would not move up in the polls regardless who they beat. They started the season as ranked 17th but moved all the way up to number 3. Since the traditional media darlings USC and OK started the season as 1 and 2 and they stayed undefeated till the end of the season, why in the world Auburn would crack into top 2; which I already did predict in my earlier posts..and indeed it hold true. I think I read somewhere in this thread by a Big 12 troll about Auburn's OOC schedule with the Citadel, La Tech, and LA-Monroe. Yes, Auburn's OOC opponents were soft. Citadel was a last minute replacement to sorry ass Bowling Green who went on to schedule OK and La Tech was replacement for Ga Tech who had to play conference game because of re-alignment of ACC with the induction of Miami and Virginia Tech. With that said, I still do not believe Ga Tech and Bowling Green would have helped our cause to break into top 2. USC and Oklahoma went wire to wire in 2004 as #1 and #2 while we start out with a #17 ranking and get no movement out of #1 or #2 to jump us ahead. Whose fault is that? USC's? Oklahoma's? Nobody's? If we had been #1 or #2 all year and had held serve, then we'd be the one's getting the bus warmed up for the Orange Bowl. Under the BCS system, more deserving Auburn got shafted. We beat the Number #3, #5, #8, and #15 again. Both #8 and #15 were on the road. They talk about how we struggled against the rival Alabama, but we took care of them by the end of 3rd quarter. We did same thing with Tennessee in the SEC CG. I know for sure VT, Cal, Oregon State and UCLA almost got better of USC. Oh..how can I forgot Stanford..yes those all games were almost decided in later part of 4th quarter. Let me talk about OK... Did I hear that they also escaped in the last minutes against Cowboys and aTm. Oh.. did I hear a Boomer Sooner saying that those were rivalry games and also were the road games and also shows the character of great team like OK to overcome adversity. Yeah right? If Auburn does the same thing.. well better than that against its SEC foes then Auburn is unimpressive and do not deserve to be in top 2. When Auburn beat Georgia, Sooners and Tigers were tied in the AP and Coaches were 2 points difference in the following week's poll. When Tigers struggled against Alabama on the road, they gave more votes to Ok saying rivalry game does not matter in the polls and blah blah..yeah right ..what happened to same voters when USC mightily struggled against in its rivalry game against UCLA. I did not see USC losing any ground on that nor did OK lost any points on its close games against aTm and Cowboys. WTF, why in the world it is only Auburn who has to prove more all the time and same does not apply to USC and OK? They talk about Auburn's weak OOC Schedule but they do not want to talk about Auburn's in-conference tough opponents. So beating #3, #5, #8 and again #15 in CCG is not good enough then what is. Media bias more than the Citadel hurt Auburn. Okie bought F' ing Bowlng Green out from under us at the last minute and now that is getting used against us. We got screwed and there is no denying it. We can't change that and have to move on. However, I have already said, if we beat Va. Tech, I will never concede that the winner of the Orange Bowl is a better team. If we win it, there should be a split poll again. But I don't think the media is going to pass up their two traditional darlings playing in the Orange. Our defense had one bad quarter and they say we are average......that's BS. Since Auburn beat Tennessee in the regular season, I still think we are the best team in the land. The BCS sucks. It sucks, it stinks, and it's not fair that we don't have a shot. But these are the rules we all signed on to just like everybody else. Maybe if we win and Cal and Utah and Boise State and Texas win then the BCS ass clowns will take notice and fix it again. And again. And again. Go Auburn!! Go Falcons!! Fight on!!(yes that means USC!)
