Oh... Sorry for the AUBurn Tigers. Heard they were the best in the nation from so many people. If not the best then at least the second best.Someone even said They were going to destroy the Volunteers. And... too many things.. I can't even remember. Anyways, they are a very good team. In the absence of playoffs, they are to end the season as #3 team in the country despite not losing a single game. Now, we all know who the TOP 2 teams in the country are. People were making all sorts of noise, telling it's the COmputer rankings that had helped the Sooners cause. For once i thought that was true. But not anymore. Check for the AP and Coaches Poll through the weeks and one can see which team had held the #2 position throughout the season. We can throw the COmputer rankings out of the Polls and OKlahoma would still be the #2 team in the nation. (Or is it the VOters were all SO dumbfounded not to recognize the strengths of other teams!!) now, they say Colorado is a very weak opponent. i am surprised why none mentioned that before the final week of the NCAA football season. Oh.,. yeah excuses. Sooners were some 21 points favorite going to the game. And they were winners by 39 points coming out of the game. Thanks to a field goal by the Buffs... Sooners had surrendered 6 points in their last 3 games, lesser than any other teams in that time span, and JUST 4 points fewer than the victory margin of Aurbun over Tennessee (supposed to be a blowout game!!). Prior to those three games, Sooners were the target of all the critcisms for not beating the TWO other RANked BIG 12 SOuth opponents. And now the Bowl games are fixed and teams had been announced, I have reasons to believe that OU and USC are the two best teams in the country. And I do not believe, any of the judges made their decisions based on the final week plays alone. UCLA had USC on their heels and Tennessee did the same against Auburn. Both Auburn and USC were trying to pull out a HUGE Win, and by the end of the game, they were both desperate just to come out withwins. I do not mean to DISregard the sUccess of Auburn Tigers. They are an elite team and had impressed me by several means when they were on the field. SEC is prolly the toughest conference this season. Yet, half of the teams in that conference have very average and medicore records. Same is true about Big 12. But again, I personally think BIG 12 SOuth is toughest of all. I am happy for the LongHorns. I were expecting them to LEap-frog the California GOlden Bears. And they just did that. Oh TWO Big 12 teams in the two of the 4 prime BCS bowls. Since, the Bowl games are fixed, let's wait and see which conference fares the best in the BOWL games. OU VS USC should have been the Title game a season ago. It;s here now. SO let's enjoy. What about Heisman, People?? gO sOOners jai Nepal
