I have never heard of the reverse V sign being derogatory in the U.S. We use the reverse / sign...the bird...lol Now, I know what to signal my brit co-worker. Thanks. Just like if a girl dresses slut-like (eg. her thong and bra showing out) you will think she is a slut. People always initially judge by appearances first. That?s a fact jack.
