If you have lost your WordPress password and you can’t access your admin panel because you don’t remember your email address, your username or password. You can still change your password through FTP or PhpMyAdmin.

But in this my article, I want to show you the steps of using PhpMyAdmin to regain access to your website.

Follow the steps correctly.

Login to your cPanel and go to PhpMyadmin and click

phpmyadmin
Now you will see the list of your database at the left upper sidebar

Alternately, you can click on the Database on the top bar, to list your databases.

From here, look for the database where you installed your WordPress.

Click on the database where you installed your WordPress and locate the Wp_users and click on browse.

Now, you can be able to see the details of your wordpress admin account, Copy the email address and go back to your WordPress admin reset page and paste the email into the password reset field.

Check your email and change the password.

Or you want to change the password directly on the PhpMyAdmin

1 . Click on the Pencil icon or Edit (depending on the version of PhpMyAdmin you are using)

Edit
2 . Now,on the user_pass row. Erase the initial strings to your new password, and don’t forget to select the MD5 because it is very important and click Go below

Go and type in your new password which you have set to the wordpress admin login side. Try not to forget your password again please.

As you can see, if you followed the steps bit by bit you will find it easy to reset your wordpress admin login password and gain access back to your own wordpress dashboard and many more things you will wish to do.

Give us a recommendation if we are able to solve your problem.
