Long distance relationship really depends on how much you love your GF or BF. For me, it worked. I promised my girlfriend (my wife now) that I will come back for her and get her parents approval and get married, and so I did after 5 years of agonizing waiting. My whole family flew to Kathmandu to bring their bride. I did visit her once in between our marriage though. Anyway, if I can do it, anyone can. It is blessing to have someone you love in your life. Our waiting was well worthy. And foremost important thing, you must trust each other. You can't build a relationship without trust. Good Luck.
