Hi friends, I need your suggestions one more time. Actually, I don't have much idea about Houston or these campuses and my brother asked me which one is better; so I need your help. He is in Washington these days and will be transferring to Houston coming spring. He will have his Associates degree by then and his major is BBA. He told me he will be living at a place called Alvin. So which campus would you guys suggest for him. Does it make a difference while job hunting if he graduates from either of these two campuses?
Thank yoU!
Rali

If he is going for BBA, I would recommend University of Houston, Main Campus. But, its freaking expensive. It is also one of the reputed college in united states for BBA. Apart from that, UH downton is good, cheap and UHCL falls in the same category. UH is freaking expensive though. For International student at Main Campus, it costs around 10K per semester unless you have some kind of Scholarships that brings you to pay in-state tuition fee.
Let me know if you want any more information. However, you can get job easily in Houston compare to other cities once you graduate.

@coolbuddy, Hey there, I remember him telling me that he got means to pay those amounts..so money doesnt seems to be a problem here..anyhow I would suggest him to seek for scholarships..
however, you pointed a very nice topic that its easy to get job in Houston if you graduate here..is it so? Is it gonna make a difference in getting a job if he graduates from main campus or UHCL?
Thank you!

@houstonguys,
Hi Bro! Thats cool. He also seems to be more inclined towards UHCL since someone told him that main campus is very big and there are parking problems and traffic jams. He was also saying that the class sizes at main campus is very large and you get tired going from one to another and there are lot of freshmen and sophomores.
Since you graduated from UHCL, you must have a lot of info. Could you please share more? What was your major and how were the professors? Did you pay the full amount? Is it really easy getting a job in Houston? Should he graduate from main campus for better chances of getting a job? Please say anything you wanna add.
I was also comparing the degree plans of both colleges and it looked different. Do you think its really different or just classes are named differently?
Thank yOU! :)

If he has enough money to pay for his education, I would prefer him to study at UH Main coz there are lots of companies coming every semester looking for intern or Co-Ops . I do not have much idea about UHCL. I am graduating from UH Main next year and I already got the job (Co-Op) in the company. Although, you pay big amont compare to UHCL and UH- Downtown, it is worth studying at UH - Main.
And, there is only one way to get transfer scholarships at UH-Main campus. Its through Phi- Theta- Kappa Honor Society. You need to be the member of this organization and you will be qualify to receive the transfer scholarships.

I hope they definately visit UHCL as well. Both the college are same actually. They do have the same trasncripts. So, nothing much in difference. But, the best part is Houston has lots of opportunities. That's my opinion. You can ask other houston buddies and gain more info...
Best of luck .

@ Rali.I did MIS from UHCL. Excellent Professors from MIS department and business department as well.I paid full amount. But if you have good GPA good essay, and apply scholarship on time you can get scholarship too.I used to work 20 hours on campus plus some hours outside, You can manage it.You can find job in stores easily in Houston. As far as job is concerned, I don't think getting job with UHCL degree is that difference from Main Campus.
Let me know if you need to find jobs in stores in Houston.
Good Luck and Let me know if you need further information or help from me.

UH-CL,UH-D and UH Main campus are all part of university of houston system....But in Main Campus there are lot of programs available and great number of international student too and there is great chance of getting job if u graduate from Main campus...
As a matter of fact,I really want to go main campus but i realized that I couldn't afford it.
So I decided to go UH-Downtown n I m starting from this fall
Let's c What Happens!!!!
