Thanks for participating Camo and Captain. This is a real sticky problem with this Edit feature we have being available on the opener discussion itself. I had to start this topic to make this point. I think we should ask San Dai to remove or limit the EDIT feature. What do you say gentlemen? Your inputs please. camo and Captain, please do not delete or edit your postings at this point since we have a point to make. For the rest of you : My original question was "How many years did the Rana Regime last in Nepal?"

Mr Hyde I felt the same way about the edit feature once - it was a damned annoyance. But in the grand scheme of things, I guess it doesn't really matter to me as much. Most threads in Sajha have a half-life of a few hours and I honestly couldn't care if people edited their stuff. Hence, I decided if you cant beat em, join em so I too become edit-happy once in a while. But good luck with your effort. :)

The facility to edit a posting initiates a potential to simply invalidate the rest of the feedbacks from others following the one being edited. Even with the edit feature removed, one could simply make up for the edition by quickly adding an amendment as a separate posting at the end of the thread. Most of the blogs I have seen operate that way. Just a thought.
