US consular in korea might tell your to go to your native country (nepal) to apply for US visa. Other than that there is no harm.

You might even get the visa at US consular in South korea. YOu never know how they think at US consular.

If it's Tourist Visa, you might get multi (5 yrs) too. But for student visa, you must go back to Nepal. My friends in Korea had such cases before a year and half.

Rose city apply from Nepal.  Remember if you are applying from korea you have to show you have a stong emotional and financial tie with korea and intend to return to korea after your study completes in US which is difficult thing to show.

If you apply from Nepal you can show more stornger emotional and financial tie and have a better chance of getting a visa.
