I was going though what french players had to say about that zidane incident. and suprisingly nobody blamed zidane for that incident.where as all the other people were saying what zidane had done is inexplicable.

Maradona is dearest to his fans. But he wont be respected by the world like Pele, zico and michael platini. Dont get me wrong , argentina is my fav team and i love maradona more than anyone. But by showing arrogance in sports will kill their public image and those athletes will not be respected by the "officials" which carries lotta weight in the world of fame. I am against the act that Zidane did yesterday. if he had went on to win the cup for his team, he would have been a greater hero. but then don;t forget the fact that France started the tournament as an underdog (kinda). no one hoped that they will/can beat Spain in the second round. it was Zidane's comeback helped by Henry's good play, that managed france to beat Spain, Brazil and Portugal and come to the final. France would have long gone out of the tournament if Zidane was not there. so an act like what he did yesterday, albeit will bring some controversy and will jeopardize his image of a TRUE SPORTSMAN , but it will not destroy what he achieved as a footballer. he will remain a great hero for france and the rest of the world, probably in the coterie of Backenbeur of Germany.
