They tried to explode a pressure - cooker bomb at the premises of Pashupatinath, one of the holiest shrines which could have , god forbid, destroyed the temple. Thankfully, the bomb was defused by the security personnel in time.

I understand that the maoists do not follow any religion. I dont have any problem with that, coz its their choice. But what gives them the right to try to destroy the place revered and worshipped by so many?

Pashupathi Nath is one of the holiest shrines, if a bomber really wanted to bomb it you think they would put it in plain site?

Have you seen the million n one hiding spots one can put it in in order to make such a horrendous act successful.

And think about it, why would the rebels execute such a strategy when they need the support of the people at this crucial moment in time that will reveal a lot of the countries fate in the next couple of days.

Thses aren't just blood thirsty neanderthals we are talking about, this is a highly strategic rebel group that lasted ten years and has been successful in many fronts, including the defeat of the "organized" govt police army.
