Check another college. You might still need to study core requirements (around 45 hours) because of 3 years college, but might have to study less credit hours that proposed 70+ hours.

Thank you for your response. I initially felt the same way and began my career as a software engineer. Now, after 11 years in the IT industry, I’ve come to realize that technical skills alone aren’t always enough to secure a promotion. That’s why I’m now considering pursuing a master’s degree to help advance my career.

I wish I could retire, but unfortunately, my liabilities outweigh my assets at the moment! 😅

Do you know of any reputable online universities? I’ve been considering enrolling in an online master’s program from Nepal or India, with the idea of later transferring the credits or getting them evaluated for equivalency in the U.S.

If you are genuine about the degree, try OMSCS from Georgia Tech University. It's a top notch degree and cost less than 10K and it is fully online. Check the requirements first. If you are qualified then it's a very good degree from accredited university.

I'm assuming you want to do Masters in Computer Science. If that is not the case, then ignore this answer. OMSCS (Online Masters of Science in Computer Science) is for Computer Science only as the name suggests.

11 years and no promotion, that's tough.

11 years and no promotion ? Sounds fishy.

May be you stayed with the same employer for far too long for whatever reason.

It completely depends on what you want to do with your life.
If you're just looking for a piece of paper that says you completed a master's degree, there are plenty of ASU,GSU,GCU, or fuck you - online universities that will gladly take your money and give you that degree, sometimes in less than a year.
But if you genuinely want to learn and do something meaningful with your life, then of course, you have to follow the proper path. And like you said, it’s not easy—you may need to complete 60–70 undergrad credits plus GRE/GMAT before even qualifying for a master’s program.
