किन बेस्ट time of your life भयो फुर्सद छ भने भन्दिनु होला ।

States like ND will have much slow pace of life. Place with cold weather will have beautiful summer. If u are loner type personality, can enjoy indoor , be yourself then it won’t be issue at all.

Not sure easy are women in ND, but that would help as well.

I personally hate cold weather and place with to much of snow, might get depressed in winter.

Living cost should also be less. If you are alone, may be hood for few years to make some money.

I lived in Fargo for 4 years. Just be cautious that it snows a lot during winter with blizzard and really cold winter. Snow may start from Nov till April. Never stayed in Summer since went to Ocean City. Other that snows it was never problem for me since we were staying with other guys and its college life with busy weekdays and party Weekends.
If you ask me now after 10 years I would never live there

north dakota is not that bad. I haven't lived there but I have been living in minneapolis for about 10 years. Summer activities, summer weather is just too good. IN winter you can do activities too like ice fishing, skiing.

During summer you can visit minneapolis or nearby cities as well.

Loganko_bhinaju:
The 10 years actually feels like yesterday, no wonder time flies really fast here. Got my bachelors degree, masters degree here. People here are nice, helpful most of the time. In summer, there are many things to do. Cost of living is affordable, less traffic which means you can get point A to point B relatively faster. Education system is really good here and there is a good number of nepali community here as well.
Transferred here on 2010 and not gone anywhere else. Hope that helps.

...I have lived in SD...been to ND a couple of times...the biggest problem of living in ND or SD is the access to a major Airports...the flights in and out of these states tend to get bit expensive...rest is ok...Fun fact, for my 2 years in a Small town in SD I rarely locked my front door and never locked my car door...

I lived in ND for about 1 and half year. I lived in Minot, ND which is almost 2 hours of driving to the north of Bismarck. Summer is so pleasant and lasts approximately 4 months from middle of May through end of September. During our stay, I visited Bismarck more than five times. There is nice state capital building, the tallest. You are allowed to get to the top for viewing around. There is also a oriental market, where you can get Rayo Saag, I am not sure if you like it but it is my one of the best vegetables. I visited once Williston, the western most city of ND close to Montana to meet a nepalese daju. I have also visited Fargo, Grand Forks. We bought some rice and daals from bhutanese nepalese grocery store in Fargo. We saw some guys playing carrom boards there and spitting. Many nepalese people to my understanding live in Fargo. One of my friends is still there in Fargo, working as university faculty. Some also live in Bismarck. Unfortunately there was not many nep people where I used to live. The only downside living in ND is that there are no nearby big cities to go to. Winter lasts little longer and sometimes turns terrible. Where I stayed, the housing price had been skyrocketing due to fracking oil boom but by the time I left, price came down to reasonable case. That was little more than five years ago. Prices seems okay these days. Over all, I enjoyed my stay there.
