Hi, I am planning to drive to Queen(NY) from Fairfax,VA on Friday evening. Please give me some tips which route should I take? It seems like NJ Turnpike has hefty toll. Give me some advise. Thank you.

There's an option in Google called "avoid toll," use that and drive; otherwise, if you take the standard route without avoiding toll, you will end up paying around $50/oneway from VA to NY. Avoiding toll will add about 1hr of extra driving time. However, it will still cost you $15 to cross the bridge from NJ to NY, which is unavoidable.
