Exactly what I was thinking as well. I'd thought about posting a lengthy rant but decided against it. There was absolutely no need to reveal the DWI incident. Pretty pathetic, tacky, and needless of the original poster to do that.

Fiji, I hope you take your comments back.
I agree with you about not disclosing his past history if DWI with this news; but don't go on saying that it is normal to drink and drive. Drinking one beer and driving might be ok; driving while intoxicated is NOT normal and not an acceptable behavior. Understand the gravity of a statement before you make one.

Kiddo, don't want to engage in a lengthy debate but we have to understand the gravity of the situation. There was no need to post his dwi record without knowing the situation. FYI he was outside his car in highway when the incident happened. At least thats what I got from his friends. we went to same school, though he was junior and never saw him or remember him in person, i will pray for his soul. Peace

@goddamn, you are absolutely right and I agreed to that. This post almost sounds like OP wants to portray the deceased in negative tone.

@Fiji, I sure hope you are joking; but know that this is not a joking matter. Smoking a joint and DWI aren't same!!! Drinking a glass of beer and driving while intoxicated aren't same. Driving while intoxicated is going on a killing rampage and I am not exaggerating stuff here. I know you have done it and your friends have done it, that doesn't make it right. If I met anybody who claims he has done it, I will punch the sucker right on their face. If you want to know why, go ask the family of thousands whose brother/sister/father/mother got killed by a drunk who was driving. Get that thing in your head, I am serious here.

Kiddo.. O think u need to start punching the whole world now . You dont make sense or you are not familiar with alcohol.
Drinking and driving is bad and should not be done period!
Everybody who drinks does it (even social drinkers do it) because its inevitable.

The mug face photo with the bloodshot eyes will reflect him as a heavy drinker and people might relate it to the cause of the accident.

Lets not debate on the same thing.. You guys are on the same page. Drinking and driving is bad. The mugshot photo should be removed.
Rip

I don't like calling names, but if you seriously think drinking and driving is ok then you are either a teenager who just got a whiff of a single malt and think it is cool to drink and drive or an idiot adult who thinks if that guy is doing it then it must be okay.

If you don't care about others lives then think about what it can do for you; you could kill yourself and if you are lucky you will get pulled over on a routine check. This is one sure way to induct yourself in a criminal record.

As for the weak arguments, wait till you hear somebody close getting run over by a drunk driver..you will find how weak of an argument that is.

For others, please don't listen to these nincompoops who think it is okay just because another idiot does it. It's not; know your limit (upto two glass of beer, one drink etc) and be responsible. It just ain't worth it.

Sorry to the deceased, this thread has taken a different turn but when something so idiotic is discussed, somebody has to speak up.

I don't see any additional comments from thread originator (to defend himself or apologize) . This is posted either to brag about mentioned organisation that they doing great help either raising fund because he is Nepali (no matter how his past was) or somebody to demonize about this organisation. What I realizing is when people drink together at somebody's house or at a bar they let driver to drive instead of offering him/her stay overnight or help him to drop in his/her destination. This is full of selfishness. Unfortunately there are many reasons to die - another vehicle can hit, bad weather, car failed middle of road, earthquake, fire, disease... you name it.
RIP Rupak and may god give strength to his family in this difficult time.

There is a saying "Nepali/Barya Haru Ko Buddi huddiana, only a kick can bring it". I am not mentioning all of the Nepalese but, you guys definitely come in this category. Arguing and fighting with each other or anyone other taa hamro jatii hoo. I don't want to argue with you guys in your mess, but what I definitely want to mention is the intention of this post is informative but anything else. Thank You.

Instead of dwelling over some irrelevant issue, I think it'd be better for everyone to make some contribution.
