I have 3 options from DC to KTM

(1) Etihad has a price of $1484

Long transit ( >12  hours in Abu Dhabi )-- Only one stop in Abu Dhabi
But, Airline has assured a FREE ACCOMODATION in Abu Dhabi .

(2) Emirates = Price $1625
Short lay over  ~ 6 hour- only one stop in Dubai

(3) Qatar Airways = price $1659
short lay over  ~ 6 hour- only one stop in Doha Qatar.

Which one do you think is good. Appreciate your feed back.

Thanks.

With that 150$, I would spend my time in transit and buy some souvenir to take back home. So I would go with Etihad.

Emirates is good too
Will depend on how long you are going for and if you can afford transit time

I have flown only with Qatar and loved it but to my knowledge, Etihad is also a good airline (and you are provided free accomodation).  It may, therefore, not be worth paying the extra bucks in Qatar.  I would stay away from Emirates.  While Emirates itself is a well-rated airline, your connection from Dubai is probably on Fly Dubai which is an LCC with not the best reputation.  All that said, if I were you I would take Etihad.

Are you enrolled in any frequent flyer program? If so check which of the above airlines is member of that program. You will get a nice flight mileage on that flight to Nepal.
